Free lecture by Evan Woodruffe from Studio Art Supplies. Evan is the owner of 200 brushes … why does he need so many? Why are there so many brushes around? What’s the difference between a round, a flat and a filbert and why were they developed? Learn about natural hair, bristle, synthetic and blended fibre brushes and how to select, use and care for them.
Different brushes are used for different types of paint, as well as for making varied brush marks. What brush would you use for oilcolour but not acrylic? How do you use a ‘softener’ to take out unwanted brush marks? All will be explained …
